Scurvy: symptoms, causes and treatment of this disease

Causes and risk factors

Among the main risk factors for scurvy are socioeconomic levels lows, alcohol and other drug abuse, and chronic psychiatric disorders who have had as consequence of low nutrition or excessive drug consumption.
