The direct object and its forms
In this video I will explain the Direct Complement and its forms.
The CD It is part of the verbal complements, not of the complements of the Subject SN. It is the complement on which the action expressed by the verb.
FUNCTION:
The CD is the most basic of add-ons. Complete the meaning of the verb (OR TRANSITIVES) and indicate the thing done by the action of the verb.
SHAPE:
YN (that is, a set of words whose nucleus is an N)
- Without a preposition when it is not a person.
- With personal names in a generic sense.
THE MOST GENERIC STRUCTURE IN SENTENCES WILL BE THAT OF COSA
•YN: With a single pronoun
•Redundancy: SN (name and pronoun at the same time) CD repeated when preceded to V.
•SP: With prep. referred to person or personified beings.
•OR. Subordinate Noun.
