Types of compound sentences
In this video I will explain the types of compound sentences.
Remember that the compound sentence has more than one verb with personal form or not, forming sentences interconnected by links that form a composite structure.
The types:
1. COORDINATED
Coordinated sentences will be those that do not present syntactic dependency relationships between the propositions that form it.
2. SUBORDINATES
We speak of subordinate clauses in cases where one proposition performs a syntactic function within another; that is, there is a dependence of some propositions on others:
3. JUXTAPOSES:
They are those compound sentences whose propositions are not linked by any nexus, but simply because they are next to each other.
They may be subordinate or coordinated:
- Coordinated disjunctive.
- Coordinated copulative.
- Subordinate adverbial causal.
In the video you will have this explanation clearer and with more examples that will facilitate understanding. In addition, on the web I have left you some training printableswith your solutions in order to that you can practice what you learned in today's lesson.
