Types of simple sentences according to the attitude of the speaker
In the previous video I explained all the types of simple sentences that there are from a scheme. In the next few videos we will discuss in detail one by one the different categories within simple sentences. In this video I will explain the types of simple sentences according to the attitude of the speaker or the sentence modality.
First of all, you will have to be clear about what the sentence modality, what is the speaker attitude wave intention that it has when expressing itself.
There are different types of simple sentences according to the attitude of the speaker:
- declarative: they inform us affirmatively or negatively of an event that has happened.
- questions: the intention of the speaker is to ask to provoke a response in the receiver. They can be direct or indirect / partial or total.
- exclamatory: they serve so that the speaker can express feelings.
- imperative or exhortative: They serve to express commands, requests or prohibitions.
- wishes: they express wishes or dreams.
- hesitant: express the doubt or possibility of a fact.
You will see this explanation much more complete in the video from examples. Also, if you want to practice with what you have learned in this lesson, you can do the printable exercises with their solutions that I have left you on the web.
