Clarice Lispector: life and work

Clarice Lispector (1920-1977) was one of the greatest writers of Brazilian literature and criou works-prima as A Hora da Estrela, A Paixão Segundo G.H. and Family Laços.

Formally, a writer is considered to belong to the third phase of modernism, however it is possible to affirm that Clarice's writing is timeless and goes through gerações.

Clarice na realidade nasceu Haia Lispector, a third filha de um casal composed by Pinkouss, merchant, and Mania Lispector, house donor. Before the girl is born to a family já tinha duas meninas: Leia and Tania.

They all live in Tchetchelnik, a small village in Ukraine that belongs to Russia. Each row was born in a city: Leia, first, in Savran, Tania in Teplik and Clarice já in Tchetchelnik.

A moving from the Lispector family to Brazil

Foi em only Brazilian that a greater part of the family adotou um novo nome: o pai virou Pedro, mãe Marieta, irmã mais velha Elisa and Haia became Clarice.

In 1925, the family decided to move from Alagoas to Pernambuco, where they settled, not Bairro da Boa Vista.

When Clarice was nine years old, she signed up for me. To follow, in 1934, I migrated to Rio de Janeiro.

Training

Enters the National College of Direction of the University of Brazil (not Rio de Janeiro) in 1941. Jornalismo

In 1959, after a non-foreign season next to her diplomat husband, Clarice returned to Brazil and went to work on the Jornal Correio da Manhã where she drove to Coluna Correio Feminino.

She published chronicles no Jornal do Brasil from 1967, or that I have imense visibility. She was invited to participate in the Consultative Council of the Instituto Nacional do Livro.

Clarice Lispector married as a friend of Turma Maury Gurgel Valente, who would go on to become a diplomat.

Clarice Lispector was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer and had a metastasis that led to her death on December 9, 1977, at age 56, the day before her anniversary.

Poems
