Construction of polygons given the radius
In this video I will an exercise to find polygons with just the radius. This exercise is very simple if the regular polygon has few sides, but is a bit more complicated if it has many sides.
Polygons are delimited surfaces that are composed of different finite lines, that is, they have an end, and that are closed in a region on a plane. The vertices of polygons they are the point where two segments or lines meet.
The regular polygons They can be constructed if in an exercise they provide us with only the radius of a circumscribed circle and tell us how many sides this polygon has. This means that within this circumference the polygon will be found.
Everyone the vertices of this polygon will be in contact with the circumference, therefore if it is a regular polygon we can always find this circumference or vice versa.
In the video I explain in more detail how to solve this problem with the help of a compass, the ruler and pencils. If you have any questions, you can do the printable exercises with their solutions that I have left you on the web.
