Its extension is almost 10 million square kilometers, occupying almost half of the territory of North America. Its capital is Canberra, although the city with the largest population is Sydney.
India
The Asian country is the seventh largest state in the world, being the largest in South Asia, with an area of 3.2 million square kilometers. This country is far from the large dimensions of the top six countries by size in the world, with around 4 million fewer square kilometers. Its capital is New Delhi, but its most populous city is Bombay.
Argentina
Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world, and the largest in Latin American countries, with an area of almost 2.8 million square kilometers. Its elongated shape makes it appear much smaller than it actually is, not appearing to be able to enter a list of the largest countries in the world and its size, but appearances cheat. Its capital is Buenos Aires, being also the most populated city in the country.
Kazakhstan
This country is the ninth largest in the world, being the largest landlocked country on our planet, considering the Caspian Sea as a lake and not a sea. Its extension is 2.7 million square kilometers.
Algeria
The last of the 10 largest countries in the world, with 2.3 million square kilometers of extension. It is the largest country in Africa and the Arab world, although not far from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its great extension is not accompanied by a large population, being the ninth most populous country in Africa, surpassing African countries with much smaller extension.
