Definition of pituitary: pituitary gland: The endocrine system. The pituitary gland along with the hypothalamus, are the central control of the entire endocrine system of the body. Therefore, this gland, the pituitary gland (which can also be called the pituitary gland, are synonymous) are the central control of the neuroendocrine system.

Because the peripheral glands are going to give feedback, they are going to give feedback that is going to be vital for these glands (starting in this video with the pituitary) to release more or less hormones. We are going to understand all this. We have an image to show what the pituitary gland is like. They have two clearly differentiated parts that have different embryonic origins. They are independent of each other because the functions that one does, the other does not. One of these areas is the

neurohypophysis or also called posterior pituitary, because it is in a posterior plane with respect to the anterior pituitary. Or also called the anterior pituitary. All this together is the pituitary.
