Types of adverbial phrases

When two words are joined in a sentence and both can be considered as the adverb of the same is when we speak of verbal phrases, a linguistic element that is analyzed as if it were a single entity despite being made up of two words. There are many types of verbal phrases that we use every day in our everyday speech, such as affirmative phrase "of course", the negative "no way", the one in a "good way", of doubt "maybe", etc. These elements must be analyzed as if it were a single one since their meaning is understood in a unified way. In this lesson from a teacher we will review what are the types of adverbial phrases that exist in Spanish.

An adverbial phrase is the combination of two or more words (generally, the prototype of adverbial locution always includes a preposition and a noun) that plays a adverbial function within the sentence.

A characteristic of adverbial phrases is that the sum of the meaning of each of the elements that compose it does not always give meaning to the complete phrase as occurs with "of course", adverbial statement of affirmation that indicates that the person who uses it agrees with what enunciated by another speaker and does not mean "after this moment passes", which would be the meaning of the sum of the constituent parts of the locution.
