Ora (direis) ouvir estrelas belongs to the collection of sonnets Milky Way that, for the time, is inserted not free of the esteem of the Brazilian writer Olavo Bilac.

O sonnet é o number XIII of Milky Way e ficou consecrated as the most famous part of the anthology entitled Poetry, published in 1888.

The verses of Bilac are a typical exemplar of Parnassian lyric.

Ora direis ouvir stars na whole

Pray (you will) ouvir stars! Certo
Perdeste or senso! "E eu vos direi, no entanto,
That, for ouvi-las, I woke up a lot
And I open the janelas, pale with fright ...

And we talk all at night, enquanto
To the milky way, like an open pale,
Cintila. E, ao vir do sol, saludoso e em pranto,

Quem foi Olavo Bilac

Olavo Braz Martins dos Guimarães Bilac became aware of literary rodas just like Olavo Bilac, nasceu no December 16, 1865, not Rio de Janeiro, and died in the same city on December 28, 1918, years 53 years.

In 1881, he entered a Medicine course influenced by the country, which was a doctor and served in the Army during the non-Paraguayan War. However, Bilac ended up desisting from the fourth year of faculty and passed to invest or seu tempo working with literature and journalism.

In 1883, five years before the release of the Poetry, Olavo Bilac published his first non-daily poems by two students from the Faculty of Medicine in Rio de Janeiro.
