The first of the Fine Arts: architecture.
We will start this classification of Fine Arts talking about the first 7 Fine Arts, that is to say, the oldest and that have traditionally been part of this list. The first one is the architecture, a science that combines physical and engineering knowledge in order to develop a building or construction that also fulfills an aesthetic function.
Thus, both aesthetics and practice converge in architecture and the architect will need both aspects to be able to create his work. As art, architecture has a powerful meaning since, since ancient times, we can see how the buildings that were in cities were not merely spaces to house daily life but were also functional works of art that embellished the city and, thus, endowed it with maximum power earthly.
Dance, another of the 7 current fine arts.
We continue with the 7 Fine Arts to tell you, now, about another of the oldest that we know in our history: Dance. This type of art uses the body and its movements to express ideas and launch a message, therefore, the body becomes a means of communication, a language that is designed for society to receive and understand.
Dance can be linked to multiple fields: pure entertainment, religious or tribal acts, art, and so on. Normally this artistic discipline is associated with music, another of the Fine Arts, however, also dance may appear without rhythm, as a free expression of the dancer's soul and feelings.
Dance has existed since ancient times and, in fact, in many tribes rituals are followed with dances as social ceremonies, to invoke nature, and so on. From those primitive dances until now, the genre has reached a maximum brilliance and has forked into different subgenres such as, for example, classical dance (or ballet), contemporary dance, urban dance, and so on.
The sculpture, the third Fine Art.
Within this classification of classical Fine Arts is also part sculpture, a discipline that tries to mold materials such as clay, stone, metal and other materials that are part of nature. It is also an art that has lived with us for years and that, in fact, was strongly linked to the world of architecture since most of the buildings and constructions were accompanied by sculptures that were attached to the facades, columns, roofs, etc.
With sculpture, the artist creates volumes and turns any materials into authentic works of art with expressiveness, emotion and well-cared for details. In this great genre are included all the arts in which the carving and the chisel are used as well as the casting and the molding.
Music, one of the best known Fine Arts.
Obviously, in this list of gear types that exist (and that are included within the seven) is music, an art that has been part of the culture for many years. In fact, with any element of our environment we can make music since we carry the sense of rhythm within us and it comes inert to the human being. Music is the language of the soul, the melody that accompanies our feelings and that, many times, we cannot express with words.
Music combines sounds and silences to create a melody, a rhythm and a harmony that reaches us in a psychological and emotional way. In Ancient Greece, music was considered as an art just like poetry and dance and, therefore, it was considered a single art. However, with the passage of time, each of these disciplines has acquired a complex and exquisite development that uses different methods of communication and expression of emotions.
Painting, another of the Fine Arts.
Another of the seven Fine Arts is painting, the expression of ideas through the use of colors, brushes and an exquisite line. The painting can be done on different supports such as, for example, walls, walls, canvases, sheets, sheets of paper, etc., and depending on the type of material used, the painting can be "al fresco", "oil", among many others. techniques.
It is a type of art that graphically represents reality (both external and internal of the artist) by combining pigments with which it forms unique colors and textures. The success of a painting will depend on the fulfillment of criteria such as color theory, pictorial composition, line, etc.
Literature, another important genre within the Fine Arts.
We continue with the classification of Fine Arts to speak now of literature, the written expression of reality and emotions through a language elevated, concrete and that moves the reader. Not just any writing is literature but, to be so, it must meet aesthetic criteria, in addition to being included within some of the literary genres (narrative, theater or poetry).
Many people believe that in the 7 Fine Arts literature should be differentiated from theater, but this is not the case because we must not forget that theater It is a branch of literature since it has a specific structure and uses a type of literary language designed to communicate and excite in parts equal.
The cinema, the seventh of the Fine Arts.
More recent is the seventh Bello Arte del cine. Appeared at the end of the 19th century, this is one of the newest and most revolutionary in the artistic field since it has managed to unite different arts in a new medium. In the cinema literature (script), with music and photography are united to achieve that, all these elements together, describe, without the need for words, the message that the director wants to project with his construction site.
At the moment, cinema is one of the most commercial arts and consumed by all people. There are genres of all kinds and they adapt to the different needs and preferences of each consumer: comedy, drama, thriller, adventure film, fantasy, science fiction, etc.; The genre reached its peak thanks to the Hollywood industry which, to this day, is one of the main promoters of all kinds of films.
